Veronica Eglantina Smith has been selected as the January 2015 Student of the Month! She was nominated by her professor, Dr. Frank Kidd, for her outstanding performance and business talents both inside and outside the classroom.
Veronica demonstrates true leadership in the classroom by not only assisting others with their contributions, but also assuming responsibility for the project. Her time management skills are exceptional for all of her course work. Veronica has one remaining semester as a #NAUBBA student and will earn her degree in Management.
Veronica recently worked with corporate leaders from Southwest Arizona Futures Forum #SAFF. Veronica states, “The most rewarding experience at NAU so far was meeting with executives of two local companies arranged by my Advanced Global Management professor, Dr Frank Kidd. This experience gave me as well as other students the opportunity to learn firsthand the processes that are involved in operating a global business.”
Veronica has owned and operated four companies during her life. These experiences have helped her to develop her business talents in engaging business personnel, academics, and fellow students with her personal history. Her advice is to “Surprise yourself, never stop learning, appreciate everything and everyone along the way because achievements are rarely ever accomplished alone and always remember to pay it forward in life.”
Way to go Veronica for all of your achievements in the #NAUBBA program. Congratulations on being selected as the January 2015 #NAUBBAStudentoftheMonth!
