Professor Jeremy Spencer nominated Elizabeth Benitez for Student of the Month. Professor Spencer stated “How does a student work two part time jobs, excel in her course work, all while showing outstanding professionalism? You would have to ask Elizabeth Benitez, she seems to have mastered it.”
Ms. Benitez is a full-time student, studying for a Bachelor of Business Administration with a management emphasis, and she is a member of Tau Sigma National Honor society. Elizabeth attends NAU Extended Campus’s Arizona Western College (AWC) campus in Yuma, Arizona, and expects to graduate in May 2016.
In addition to being a full-time student, Ms. Benitez also works two jobs: a part-time job at Beall’s Outlet store, and a part-time student worker at the NAU advising office. Duties in the NAU advising office include supporting current students, maintaining student records, making advisor appointments, and assisting advisers.
Ms. Benitez is president of the Bien Hecho club (which means “Well Done”) at the NAU Yuma campus. Bien Hecho has been designed to incorporate an atmosphere of collaboration while encouraging scholastic accomplishment fostering community services, and creating a rich environment that educates, informs, and inspires students to become more involved with campus activities.
I would like to congratulate Elizabeth for all of her achievements in the #NAU program! Congratulations on being selected as the April 2015 #NAUBBAStudentoftheMonth!
